PSA: The platform for discussing the issues men face is not to step in front of a discussion about issues women are facing and detract from them. You don’t help someone in pain by saying “Yeah, but I’m in a similar kind of pain, so your pain matters less.” If you want to discuss the issues men are facing, by all means do so, and I fully support it, but pretending issues women are facing matters less because men also face similar or tangentially related issues does nothing but derail an important conversation that can help women and men and our society as a whole.
